The day to day...

12th
Things are getting little suspicious. Today I was talking with your Gammy on the phone and I was told her about how you are starting to pull yourself up on things, but that you aren't quite able to pull yourself up against the couch since it's a lot taller and you aren't able to get a good grip on it. Of course you prove me wrong and not only do we randomly find you standing up next to the couch but you also managed to pull yourself upright in your crib for the first time. Then as I'm watching you army crawl around I comment to Dad that it would be really nice if you would finally learn how to get yourself into the sitting position. Not 10 minutes later we look and you are sitting upright. Crazy! Are you a genius baby and understand everything I'm saying!?!?

11th
You are starting to pull yourself up on things baby girl! Yay! You're even able to pull yourself into the standing position. It does seem a bit strange that you are doing this and STILL refuse to crawl the normal way. But I guess that just isn't your way. You are a funny little thing!

10th
You are one remarkable baby. You somehow managed to have a fever of 101.4 WHILE on antibiotics. Impressive Zoey. Very impressive.

7th
You are such a little follower now! Everywhere Max is you are right there with him. Whatever mischief he's getting into you are right beside him contributing just as much as you physically able to. This isn't good. I can sense some serious trouble coming from you two in the very near future!

6th
You were savagely attacked today baby girl. I was in my room talking on the phone (since you and Max have decided that if I'm in sight you cannot continue playing with your toys but must climb all over me whining and crying for me to hold you) when I heard you start to scream. From the intensity of your cry I knew something had to be terribly wrong and came running out to find that Max had knocked the dining room chair over on top of your head! Poor baby girl! Max of course had no idea what he had done and couldn't seem to understand what all the fuss was about. If he did understand I'm sure he would have felt just terrible. You were fine luckily, just a little hurt and probably very scared! I'm so sorry you had to go through that Zo Zo. I'm just very glad you are alright.

4th
Happy 4th of July Zoey! It's your very first! Unfortunately you have been running a mild fever since yesterday evening  so you have not been in the best of spirits, but I think you had a good day despite that. We started the day by attending the grand Rexburg parade. It was fun but you got really sleepy and fell asleep in the stroller mid-parade. After a long nap you seemed to be in a better mood and when we put you in your super fun splish-splash pool your Auntie Noelle and Uncle Chan got you and Max you were incredibly happy! You and Max played for close to an hour before you got tired of it. That is pretty remarkable for two little people with very short attention spans! We of course ended our fun filled 4th by watching a firework show. You got very restless waiting for it to start (which could have something to do with the fact that you Dad got us there WAY too early) but when the fireworks did start you were in awe. You froze and watched them for a minute before responding by clapping and singing your appreciation for them. Your fascination only lasted a few minutes (due to your short attention span) and you spent the rest of the time climbing over us and expressing your boredom by yelling at us. A bottle, already prepared in anticipation of you making a scene, quieted you for the remainder of the time. You are becoming a very loud, stubborn baby! I sure hope you outgrow this and go back to being my sweet little Zo Zo Bean! Despite everything it was a great day. We're glad we got to spend it as a family.

3rd
I think you got what Max had. Strep. Blah. Unfortunately your super human baby immune system is much stronger than his and you are only running a mild fever instead of the high one he was. This might sound awful but you are not being sweet and cuddly like he was when he was sick! You are only twice as cranky and sassy! You being sick is just miserable. I am SO incredibly glad you don't get sick very often baby girl! But don't you worry. I still love your sassy little self :)
I found a bite mark shaped bruise on Max's upper thigh today. I guess you finally decided to seek revenge now that you have your two front teeth and returned the favor!

2nd
We attended our friend Neva's baptism today. You were anything but reverent. Our friend Sister Carter was holding you and you yelled throughout the entire thing. That is all but while she was being confirmed that is. During that time you decided it would be appropriate to eat Sister Carter's entire face causing all the young boys in the room to giggle uncontrollably. You are out of control baby!

JULY 2011

29th
Tooth #6 is here! You are now the proud owner of a full set of front teeth, top AND bottom. Look at you so big!

27th
Baby girl! One of your front teeth arrived! #5! Yay!! And the other one is not far behind. I am very happy for you little girl. I know it has been a miserable process (for everyone) but you now have 5 less teeth to grow! Congrats Zo Zo!

25th
This morning you were laying on the air mattress visiting with your Uncle Eric and Aunt Terrilynn with Max when he invaded your space and you began screaming. When Uncle Eric picked you up and asked you what happened you immediately pointed at your brother and began jabbering. It's already begun! You have already figured out how to tell on Max! Smart baby girl!
We celebrated Max's 1st birthday today which actually turned out to be a very good day for you as well. Your Uncle Josh made sure you were well taken care of and presented you with a very LARGE piece of the birthday cake. You didn't miss a beat. You immediately began to grab fistfuls of this sugary goodness and proceeded to shove it right into your mouth. You ate the entire piece!! I couldn't believe how quickly it disappeared. I guess when it comes to delicious cake you don't mess around!

22nd
We spent the afternoon at the SPLASH PARK today! You had a great time. It was a little scary at first and you needed some time to warm up to the crowd of screaming children, the cold water, and the chaos but you adjusted and had a fabulous time. Within the first few minutes you unfortunately had a little girl dump a cup of water over your head and then a sudden burst of water pressure caused the little fountain you were playing by to spray you right in the face, but things got better. You LOVED laying out in the sun and soaking up all that warmth we've been dying for! We will definitely be going back soon and often!

21st
We took you to your VERY first dentist appointment today! You had a terrific time. The moment we stepped into the office you had everyone fawning over you... and you ate it up. You are just so beautiful! You don't have very many teeth so they weren't able to do much with you, but that didn't stop them from adoring you! We did find out why your top front teeth are so late! The fibers in your mouth are unusually dense which makes it more difficult for them to pop out. They are almost here though so no worries! The dentist did lovingly refer to you as a little chunk of love. I LOVED that expression. That is exactly what you are Bean!

19th
10 MONTHS OLD TODAY ZOEY! Congratulations baby girl! You are growing and changing like CRAZY! You are getting to big and learning so many new things every day! You are now mobile and can move with considerable speed with your little army crawl. You are testing the hands and knees approach but nothing has happened on the front yet... although it's pretty adorable when you rock on your hands and knees with your tongue sticking out. You look like a little puppy :) You're crawl does have some kinks to work out still... you still spontaneously throw a roll in every now and then. But you'll figure it out. You're a smart kid. Since you're moving a lot more now you are starting to thin out! It's so strange because you've always been our little chunk! Aunty Noelle has even said that your legs are toothpicks! I don't know if I would necessarily go that far, but they are definitely not what they used to be!! Your hair is getting so long and beautiful. Your curls are to die for and people are always admiring them. You have the funniest little cheezer smile where you scrunch up your nose and smile as wide as you can. It's so funny. You're quirky. You call Daddy "Da Da" now every time you see him. You also light up when he comes into view. You do have a temper behind your super sweet personality. When you get upset you clench your fists and yell, turning bright red. Sometimes you alternate between singing and dancing and yelling. Not sure what that's all about! You've started taking steps when we hold your hands and you are getting such strong arms your pull yourself upright holding onto our fingers with little effort now. You're just such an amazing little girl. You are so loved by everyone who has ever met you. We have had the privilege of having you as our daughter for 10 months now and cannot believe how lucky we are! We love our Zo Zo Bean!!

18th
Grandma and Grandpa Perrenoud took us to the ZOO today! You, being an animal lover, had a FANTASTIC time. You got to see a lot of fun animals and you were so intrigued. You did have this issue with Grandma's sunglasses though. I guess eye contact is especially important to you and it bothered you that you couldn't see Grandma's eyes so every time she held you, you would pull her glasses off her face. The same rules applied when Aunt Shauny held you too. No sunglasses. Noted.

16th
Today Dad was changing your EXTREMELY dirty diaper and started gagging. You apparently found this to be very funny and started giggling at him. It was a very amusing situation from the outside perspective - you laughing at your Dad. Love you Zo!

9th
YOUR 4th TOOTH HAS ARRIVED! Yay!! The weird thing though is that while it is on the top, it's not one of your front two, which traditionally come in next... but not with you. You are one quirky baby and  you do things your own way!

6th
Your Kayla came to see you today. She was amazed at just how big you've gotten! You had a very nice time just sitting in her lap and talking to her. She loves you very much baby girl. Unfortunately though I had to continually interrupt your nice visit by wiping your extremely runny nose. I don't know what's happening but it won't stop!

2nd
I went into the nursery last night to check on you guys and found you entirely covered by your blanket. This isn't the first time you've done this. Sometimes I just do not get you Zo Zo!

1st
You have started making the strangest noises while you eat. I guess you are just letting us know that you are very much enjoying the food we've prepared! Love you little girl.

JUNE 2011

31st
Today Daddy took us to the nature park to feed the ducks! You and Max had a BLAST! We pushed you around the park in your stroller and you just laid back and enjoyed the ride. When we would find ducks to feed you would lean way over to get as close to them as possible. It was a very fun time. After we were done feeding the ducks we played on the playground for a little while. You are our little adventurer! You throughly enjoyed all of the toys. Then on the way home we got you a lightly flavored watermelon snow cone. Your very first. Your initial reaction was love, but after awhile you decided the cold wasn't worth the taste! It was a great day.
30th
Last night at around 11:00 PM I went to check on you guys and turn on the baby monitor. When I walked in I found you laying on your tummy looking around. The moment you saw me you exclaimed, "Mama?" I'm not saying that you intentionally said my name, but you did. And maybe you meant to because right after you said it you got all excited and started whipping your head back and forth saying, "ma ma ma." You are a crazy one. I just hurried out and didn't hear another peep from you until morning. I love you Bean.

29th
You and your brother have decided that is is amusing to pull your bibs off as many times as possible during every meal. The velco on them is obviously no match for you two, so I took matters into my own hands. I sewed a button and an elastic loop onto the bibs last night and you haven't gotten them off since! Sorry baby but Mom wins this round!
You CRAWLED! Not on your hand and knees, but you own version of an army crawl! You're getting there little girl! You also got up on your hands and knees and rocked back and forth a lot today. We are so excited for you baby! You're getting so big! We also found tooth #3 today. It is on the top but it's not a middle one, it's just to the side of where they would be. The matching one is close behind. When they both come in it's going to look like you already lost your two front teeth! You sure have your own way of doing things Zo Zo!

28th

You were a victim of your brother's razor sharp teeth again. This time it was your chunky leg. Poor baby.

27th
You kicked into turbo roll today to avoid an all out attack from your brother. I was very impressed. You knew to "run" from DANGER!
I put you in the nursery to play tonight while Max took his turn skyping with Gammy. You apparently weren't finished talking because about 10 minutes later I turned around and found you in the doorway. You're figuring things out. I'm very proud of you.
You are also growing very BIG muscles! You've started pulling yourself up into the sitting and standing position by holding onto my fingers. Impressive Zo! And when I tickled your tummy to get you on your hands and knees you started rocking back and forth! This is a very good sign that crawling is in your near future!

26th
You are everywhere! I keep finding you in the most random places... generally against walls or in corners. Places that aren't easy to get out of. The strangest place is under the table in between the chair and table leg. I have no idea how you actually get yourself stuck between them but it keeps happening! You are not pleased about being immobilized now that you've tasted the sweet freedom of ROLLING!

24th
Today I had to wake you up from your rare second nap so you would sleep tonight. You were very confused. It isn't often that we wake babies up. It was dinner time so I put you straight in your high chair and then chased your devious brother down. He was extremely whiny today and as I put him into his chair he had a little tantrum. You were still groggy but you looked at him with so much concern that it nearly broke my heart. You were so worried about your oh so dramatic brother. You are the sweetest baby alive.
You too have figured out that playing with floor vents drives your puppy CRAZY! You were proudly pounding on it today staring straight at Tucker and yelling in response to his incessant barking. Evil baby! He's only trying to protect you from the "DANGER" of the floor vents.

23rd
I witnessed you turbo roll today. It was very speedy :)
Today you figured out that you can use this mobility to your advantage. One of my favorite things to do is to tickle your tiny little feet. You are extremely ticklish which makes it all the more enjoyable! Today however you discovered that a rapid roll will move your feet out of my reach. This happened on more than one occasion. Smart baby!

22nd
You have started to wave your arms around your head like crazy every time I try to navigate a spoonful of food into your elusive little mouth. It's not like it was difficult enough without your extra help!

21st
I think I've figured out you rolling/moving technique. After watching you for some time now I've discovered that you really don't quite understand what you are doing. When you roll, I don't think you really know that rolling one particular direction will move you in a particular direction. You simply roll, reassess your position in regards to the object you're after, and then roll again. Sometimes you go straight to the object, which is impressive, but other times you make bad decision after bad decision and find yourself twice as far away from it as you were to begin with! You are fascinating to figure out Zo.

19th
Zoey Fazoli you are now NINE months old!!! I cannot believe by baby girl is getting to be so big! Congrats on finally living in the world as long as it took to grow you :) You are becoming a beautiful, funny, intelligent little girl. You still only have 2 teeth, but you know how to use them! You can chew food just as quickly, if not more efficiently, than your eight toothed brother. You are also fingering out how to bite on people's fingers and toes. You are beginning to realize that you have the power to deliberately move where you want to. I found that out today by performing a small experiment on you. I rolled you bottle near you, but not within your reach. I figured if anything would motivate you to move, it would be your bottle. With a matter of minutes you had that bottle in your hands and then in your mouth. You have also been experimenting with a new inch worm/ stink bug crawling technique that I have never seen before. You try to push yourself forward with you legs, but your chest hits the ground which stop almost any forward movement, causing your little bum to stick straight up in the air. Cutest thing ever. And it isn't a total failure. You do manage to move... a little. It won't be long and you'll be just as impossible to keep up with as Max! You have the most beautiful hair EVER. It is coming in so thick and shiny. In fact, it's so long now that I use leave-in conditioner on it after your baths! The absolute best part though is that it is starting to get CURLY!! By the time you read this, you may not like having curly hair... but right now I couldn't be happier. It is so beautiful and I cannot wait until it gets a little longer and is able to have actual ringlets! You are gorgeous baby! You and Tucker are becoming incredibly close. I hear you giggling all the time in the living room and almost every time I check to see what you're laughing at it's Tuck. You absolutely adore that puppy, and all puppies actually. We were driving the other day with the windows down and you heard a dog bark and immediately started to giggle. You're adorable. You and Max are buddies, but you are starting to get irritated at him when he picks on you or steals your toys. You clench your little fists as hard as you can, turn bright red, and yell at him. You have also tried to bite his back once. All I have to say is good for you Zo. You defend yourself from bullies! One more thing, you are starting to look more like a little girl than a baby. This makes me a little sad, but I guess it's a good thing since you are now the big NINE months old!! We love you Zo Zo Bean!!! SO MUCH!

18th
You are a rolling MACHINE Zoey! You are starting to get mobile. Today you rolled from the living room all the down the hall and into the guest room. That was incredible Zo! Way to go!

14th
It was so warm in Boise today that you were able to wear some of your adorable summer clothes! You look so dang cute in your little tank tops. I love LOVE your pudgy little arms!
You are completely and totally infatuated with your Uncle Josh... and it appears the feeling is mutual. He has held you every possible second that he could. You are loving spending time with, the constant attention, and playing with his fascinating goatee :)
Today I made you a little nest to sleep in on my bed at Uncle Eric's house. You should not have been able to roll out of it, the pillows were stacked pretty high, but I guess I underestimated you Zoey! I went in to get you and found you laying on the ground next to the bed with a great big smile on your face. You were very proud of yourself. It was like you were saying "look what I did Mom!" Luckily for both of us the bed was only on a box spring and was very close to the softly carpeted floor. You are so funny little girl!

13th
We drove to Boise today with Gammy and Gampy today for Kenna's birthday party. You are one fantastic little traveler!! You are also starting to toy with idea of crawling. Tonight Aunty Terrilynn was holding a toy just out of your reach. You were straining to reach it SO HARD! You little fingers were stretched just as far as they could possible go. You are adorable Zo.

12th
Today I wasn't feeling very good so after I changed your diaper I just laid my head in your chest and tummy for a moment. You obviously found this to be very amusing and started giggling. You are so sweet. I love your sense of humor.
I gave a mani and pedi tonight while you drank your bottle. It went fairly well... until I would turn on the blow dryer to speed up the drying process. It startled you so much every time I used it that you would drop your bottle. You are so jumpy Zoey!

11th
Today you tried to eat/kiss the Morkie's tail. The first time I thought it was just a moment of chance. Tuck's tail was face level and you went for it, I was luckily able to stop you just in time. The fact that you tried a second time makes me a little nervous...

8th
It's my very first Mother's day and I have to say that I am probably the luckiest Mom ever. You and Maxers are so amazing and I love being your mom more than anything in the world. You guys spoiled me rotten today. With a little help from Dad you gave me a gift certificate for a 2 hour pamper session at the spa! You have incredible taste when it comes to gifts! Nicely done :)
You are really using your ability to roll around for important things. You're newest accomplishment is being able to lick the walls. Love you quirky baby.

7th
You are a fantastic little baby. The last few days you have been grinning as big you can every time I lay you in your crib for a nap. Thank you for being so reasonable Zo!

4th
Tonight I was holding you and I noticed a suspicious red mark on your little foot. It was the shape of a half circle. Upon further inspection I realized that it was definitely a bite mark. At first I suspected Tucker and was very surprised that he would ever really bite you let alone hard enough to leave a mark! The thought was fleeting though because there were only four little teeth marks making up this ring... and there is only one person in the house with only four teeth on top... Yes. You're brother bit your foot. Sorry Toots.

3rd
Every night when Dad and I go in to check on you guys you're head is always smashed into the corner of you crib with you head tilted up. And every night Daddy pulls you out of the corner and straightens your little neck. So when you wake up in the morning without a stiff neck you know who you should thank!

2nd
Today I decided to take you to the doctor since you're still sounding all congested when you breath and your cough hasn't gotten any better. To save time and because it was convenient we also did your 9 month check up today as well. You are growing like CRAZY baby girl! You are 28.5 inches long and weigh 21 pounds and 9 oz! Nicely done Zo! All that food has been paying off! You had a great time visiting your friends.. or should I say adoring fans. The first person to admire you was the receptionist. Then the nurse who measured and weighed you was completely smitten with you. She kept telling me that you were so beautiful that you should be on TV and asking if she could take you home with her. She then showed you off to another nurse on our way to the scale, and the after she left to get the doctor ANOTHER nurse knocked and came in because she was told that there was an adorable baby that she needed to see. One popular baby girl you are Zo! And this was just the start! The doctor was a little concerned about your wheezing so he prescribed you antibiotics and a neubulizer. So we went to the store to fill you prescription and pick up a few things. While we were shopping and waiting for your antibiotics, you got hungry so I gave you your bottle. You're not very good at drinking it sitting up, so I had to clear out room in the basket of the cart and I laid you with your head on your changing pad. You had many admirers and some very nice comments made as we made our way through the store. On our way out you actually fell asleep in the cart!! It was so cute. I guess it must have been comfy! You are not a huge fan of the neubulizer, but you tolerate it. And the good thing is that you only have to deal with it once a day just before bedtime. You're a sweet little girl and I love you.

1st
You took Max's bottle out of his mouth today. You didn't manage to get the bottle to your mouth or anything super revengeful like that... but it was a start. :)

May 2011

30th
You are a little sick Zoey. You are breathing so loud and sound very congested. I think you sound like a little smoker. You have the sweetest little cough and I think you're losing your voice. It's very sad. The weird thing though is that you are still mostly happy. You're not acting sick at all. What a trooper you are. I really hope you feel better soon baby girl!

29th
I think you won your first battle today baby. I'm sure exactly what happened, but I think you were victorious. Max had crawled over to you to steal your toys and all of sudden he began crying and came to me for comfort. You no longer had you toys, but neither did Max... I'd be very interested to know what you did that insulted him so much! But good for you Zo. We need to put bullies in their place sometimes!

25th
Today you and Max enjoyed your first bowl of REAL oatmeal. The real stuff, not the lame baby kind :) YOU LOVED IT! And since I'm such a mean mom it wasn't even the good flavored kind! Just the plain old boring original oatmeal. You guys are getting so good at eating big people food. You even manage to chew/gum food before trying to swallow! Now just grow some more teeth and you'll be unstoppable!
Today you finally had something that Max found incredibly fascinating and was unable to snatch from you. Your foot. You're lucky you got to keep that :)

24th
HAPPY EASTER BABY! You were so beautiful today in your Easter dress. And the Easter Bunny treated you right! You got a lot of very cool stuff. And you, of course, gave us one of your better gifts. You seem to save this for holidays and special occasions. Yes. You fell asleep again. In a very random position. You were just sitting in the living room, basking in the sunshine and having a conversation with your beautiful hands and the next thing we know you are folded in half fast asleep. I love you Zoey. Very much.

23rd
We were shopping today with Dad and you apparently were extremely hungry because as he was pushing you in the cart you started sucking on his finger like you would your bottle. So weird Zo Zo!
Daddy was giving you lots and lots of kisses tonight, which you were loving, when he decided to give you one of his "grandpa kisses." This is when he presses his lips on you for an uncomfortably long time and makes an obnoxious smooching noise the whole time. You misunderstood the concept and proceeded to stick out your tongue. ha ha That taught Da Da a lesson!
You just happen to own a pair of brown and pink polka dotted stretchy pants AND a matching onsie. Of course when I realized this I HAD to put them both on you at the same time! I guess I'm just cruel like that :) No worries though. Dad refused to take you out of the house without first changing your pants. I'd like to say it was for you... but I'm pretty sure it wasn't your dignity he was worried about :)

22nd
You love Max so much. Tonight in the bathtub you kept leaning way over and trying to get his attention. You just wanted some eye contact! So cute. I'm glad you adore him.

21st
You got a text message from your Uncle Chandler today. This is what it said:

dear zoey and max, I miss you. we should skype today. love Uncle Chan!

So we skyped with Aunty Noelle and Uncle Chandler this afternoon. Your little face just lit up when you saw their faces! When they started to coo you got so excited and cooed back. In fact you have started cooing again ever since, something you haven't done in quite awhile. I think it's safe to say you love and miss them very much.
Gammy and Gampy took us out to eat before we drove back to Gammy's house. You had an okay time eating some of our food, but all you really wanted was your bottle... the only problem was that you were seated next to Max and he decided that your bottle sounded pretty good to him too so he snatched it right out of your hands. You of course screeched and embarrassed everyone at our table except for me. I'm pretty immune to you now. Crazy kid. But you did learn how to drink out of a straw! You picked it up so fast! You are a little smarty pants :)

20th
You spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa Houdek's house last night with Gammy and McKenna while Max and I slept at Uncle Josh's. After Gammy dropped us off and started driving toward Grandma and Grandpa Houdek's house you started to make noises. When McKenna heard you she got very distraught and kept telling Gammy that I had forgot my baby and that they needed to take you back to me. It was very cute of her to be worried about you. Then this morning when you guys picked Max and I up to go shopping Kenna followed me around the entire time we were packing up the car telling me that I "needed to take care of my baby" and "don't forget your baby." It was pretty great. She knows you belong to me Zo Zo Bean!

19th
Eight months old today. You are growing up so fast Zo Zo! Congrats! And we have loved every second! You are just becoming the most incredible little girl. You are becoming more adorable by the minute and your laugh is quite possibly the cutest thing the world has ever hear. I love that you are becoming so giggly and fun to be around. Some times you just laugh and laugh at everything we do... if you want to see your parents make fools of themselves all you have to do is start laughing and we'll do just about anything to keep you going! Honestly, it's completely impossible not to laugh when you do. It's just that cute Zoey!! You are just that great. We are so happy and feel so blessed to have you as our daughter. We think you are simply amazing and cannot wait to see how much more incredible you will be tomorrow and every day after that. You are a little sponge just taking in everything around you and I absolutely love watching you do it. It's such simple and little things that fascinate you. Lately you have decided that your adorably chubby little hands are the coolest things that have ever been created. You just stare at them, moving your fingers and watch all the amazing things they can do. It is so cute. You are so precious. I'm so grateful that you are mine.
We drove to Boise with Gammy and Gampy yesterday to spend a few days with our family over here. You've had such a great time with your cousins. I haven't heard you laugh harder than you have with them. Especially Abbie. You think she is just fantastic. Your Uncle Eric took you on your very first four-wheeler ride today. You seemed pretty indifferent, but I'm sure it won't be long before you're in line begging for you turn like all the other kids. Gammy gave you a bath while we were at Uncle Eric's house and since we didn't have any of your pajamas with us McKenna was generous enough to let you borrow a pair of her old ones... the only catch is that they were 18 month pajamas. That didn't deter us! You looked absolutely adorable in them. What a cute baby you are. I love you to pieces!

17th
Today is Daddy's birthday! His first as a dad. We had a party for him at Gammy's house. You had a great time sampling all the different foods on Dad's birthday menu. You even ate pineapple and spicy pickles! There really isn't much you won't eat!!

15th
You are one very congested little girl. Your nose is so stuffy you are finding it somewhat difficult to breathe while you are eating. Poor thing!
Tonight when you were done with your bath I unplugged the tub and let the water drain out while I grabbed your towel. Just as I stepped back into the bathroom the last of the water gurgled down the drain, which startled you. You are so jumpy!! It was kind of cute that it scared you :)

14th
You have so much love to give I think that sometimes it is just impossible to contain it! Today the lucky recipient of your lovin was our Tucker dog. He got one BIG slobbery kiss on the back of his neck. I'm sure he felt the love Zo Zo. :)
Today you sat on the table with Dad while he at his lunch. This worked out far better than you could have ever imagined! You got your fair share of his turkey sandwich. In fact, towards the end you became a little sassy and would grab his hand, which was holding you bite, and shove it into your mouth with more attitude than was necessary. It was really funny to watch.
Today we took you and Max to dinner at Subway. You guys LOVED it! You just sat next to us in your highchairs and gobbled down everything we had to offer. You even got your very first cheeto. Lucky girl! You love cheetos!

13th
You rolled like 5 feet today to get to a toy! Good job Zo! This is the first step to gaining your independence and fighting off your bully of a brother for the good toys!

12th
TOOTH NUMBER TWO arrived today! Keep up this pace and you'll make up for lost time!
You skipped lunch today Zo! You don't ever skip food! You just never told me you were hungry, so I didn't feed you. You did this on Sunday too, but I thought it was just a fluke due to church messing up your schedule. Very strange Zoey...
It was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day today so I laid out a blanket and some toys and let you and Maxers soak up the sunshine. You actually tolerated it! Yay! Maybe you've outgrown your distaste for the outdoors. Very good timing too. Summer is approaching!
Grandma Rice sent you guys a SPECTACULAR Easter package, which you received today. You are two very lucky babies :) You absolutely loved the brightly colored tissue paper.

11th
You have become obsessed with sticking your tongue out. It is simply adorable.
Lately you have been rocking back and forth when you're sitting a lot. It's really cute, but sometimes you rock a little too hard and throw yourself backwards which results in your little head hitting the floor. The best part is just seconds before you hit and the look on your face tells me that you know what you've done and you regret doing it. :) Good thing we keep you on carpeted floors at all times!

10th
YOU GOT YOUR FIRST TOOTH! Yay!! It is extremely little and just barely sticking out, but it is there! And what do you decide to do with your new little tooth? Eat Dad's toes of course. Delicious!

9th
You're hair is getting to be really long and beautiful Zo! In fact, your long hair + your new (if limited) mobility = FANTASTIC BED HEAD! I very much look forward to seeing your tousled little head in the morning :)
I have been told by a certain Gammy that you decided to give Gampy your very first wave. I myself have not been able to confirm the truthfulness of this claim, and have not seen any evidence of a wave since then, but... apparently you waved today! Way to go little girl!

8th
You had to say goodbye to your beloved Uncle Chandler and Aunty Noelle today. They are off to Hawaii for a year and are going to miss you very much. You did get your cuddles in though and even fell asleep on Uncle Chandler's chest! You never do that! It must be love.
You refused to take your second nap today... which made me very nervous, but besides getting more than my fill of Zo Zo Bean for the day, you behaved remarkably well. I hope this doesn't become a habit baby!

7th
Cutest baby EVER! Apparently you have been watching us and Max and logging information into your little head to use at a later date. Today you clapped! To congratulate yourself on a job well done! You even included a little yell that resembled our "yay!" What warranted such an enthusiastic response? You figured out how to push a toy the pops up back down. Congrats little girl. It's doesn't even matter that your hands miss each other 90% of the time. We understand how you feel, and that's what's important :)
You were hanging out in your johnny jumper today when your brother felt the need to pull on your legs and essentially slingshot you into Gammy's pantry. It must have been quite the ride, but you didn't seem to appreciate or enjoy Max's efforts.

6th
You are becoming quite the mover and shaker Zo! You are starting to figure this whole rolling thing out and you are learning that it can get you places... like in a corner with Max attacking and knocking over the diaper champ. A very dangerous situation. :)
I've decided that you babies must have internal alarm clocks that are set to go off at the exact same time. You nap in different rooms to avoid waking each other up, but somehow wake up at the same time almost every single nap. You guys must have your schedules in sync! There are worse things that could happen like the occasional alternating nap schedules that leave no time for Mom without babies ALL DAY! So I guess keep up the good work!

5th
You did the funniest thing in the bath tonight. You leaned completely forward until your little face was submerged in the water, which startled you causing you to throw yourself backwards which resulted in you bonking the back your head on the bottom of the tub. You were not pleased, but it was a little funny. :)You have started trying to get objects that are just out of your reach. You are surprisingly successful without the ability to crawl or scoot. You reach your chubby little arm out as far as you possibly can then rock back and forth until you somehow manage to clasp your fingers around it. Very very impressive Zo.

4th
You has a bad time last night. You suddenly woke up screaming hysterically. Daddy and I rushed into the nursery and tried to calm you down but nothing was working. I thought you smelled a little poopy so we checked and sure enough you were. When Daddy was changing you your little bum was all red and started bleeding a lot. Poor little girl. It was so sad seeing tears running down your face and knowing you were in pain and that I couldn't do anything to fix it. Once you had a new diaper on I scooped you up and cuddled you. This calmed you right down. Dad researched online and read that baby powder would help you the most so he came a snatched you from me, stripped you down and proceeded to powder your little bum with more baby powder than any bum would ever need :) And then he laid you naked on a blanket so you could air dry. You however decided to take this time to pee. Excellent timing Zo. But you were one happy, naked little girl and that's all the mattered.

3rd
You had a complete and utter melt down today. Luckily Gammy was here and took you for a little walk outside, which did the trick. You came back a changed baby. Lots of smiles and kisses.
Max was wearing his pajamas with the monkey on the butt tonight. You found that monkey to be very interesting and started feeling it. Oh the innocence of a 7 month old baby :) So cute.
You are one serious little kisser. It's very important that you express just how much you love us. It's so funny to watch you right before the kisses begin. You get this very serious look in your eyes, then start almost shaking. Then comes the war cry, a little screech from you, and it's all over. Whatever you can get your little mouth on is smothered with slobber and kisses. All the while the rest of the face is being attacked by your chubby little hands holding on as tight as they can to insure that your victim... or loved one cannot escape your exuberant display of affection. I love how passionate you are about love Zoey!

2nd
I think I feel two little teeth coming in! They haven't broke the surface yet but I think you're getting close! Yay! The good news is you obviously don't even need teeth because you very much enjoyed your lunch of Mac and Cheese with peas today. I was worried that you wouldn't be able to gum them but you proved me wrong! You ate them like a champ and polished off your bowl in record time. You brother didn't even do near as well as you did! You are quite the little eater!

1st
Our Sammi came to see us today! I have to say, you ADORE her. You smothered her with your kisses on multiple occasions. Cute baby. You had so much fun with her today. We took you and Max to the park for the very first time. You seemed to enjoy yourself. You and Max shared your first swing ride. Since you are both kind of little we were able to put you back to back in the baby swing. It was adorable. We also introduced you to the teeter totter. You and Daddy were on one side and Sammi and Max on the other. It was a beautiful day today and we made the most of it!

We did have to wake you up to eat dinner, you little sleepy head. Every time you are woken up you have the funniest expression on your face. It's a mixture of confused, annoyed, and angry. It's fairly adorable and I always look forward to seeing it :)

I believe that you are maybe probably finally getting some teeth! At least I am really really hoping you are. So is your dad. You were pretty cranky tonight little girl... and you are stubborn. You and Max both started this fun trick a little while ago, spitting your food out all over me and your highchair. This is not something I enjoy, and unlike you two, do not find it amusing. To teach you not to do this, I simply flick your mouth softly and sternly tell you NO. Normally just a couple times of doing this does the trick and you finish your meal without incident. This was not the case tonight. I don't know if you were just feeling especially stubborn or what but you were repeatedly spitting every bite everywhere and then would proceed to scream like you were dying when I told you no. I have a feeling that you are going to be a difficult little girl. You're either the sweetest things alive, or the most angry, cranky little person. Good thing we love you... and have the power to give you baby tylenol and put you to bed early. :)

30th
We got your social security card in the mail today! You are a real person with a real social security number. Congratulations! You are actually much more real than your brother since he doesn't even have a birth certificate yet. :)

28th
You looked so cute today! We dressed you in an adorable little hoodie and the cutest jean shorts with pink tights. Plus your little ponytail is getting bigger and cuter every day! You are one beautiful baby! You almost went on a fun adventure with your Aunty Noelle and Uncle Chandler... they volunteered to watch you while I took Max in for his check up and they were plannin on taking you to Idaho Falls with them. Unfortunately, before they even had the chance to leave their apartment with you, you pooped out all over our adorable outfit. Then after you were changed, you pooped again. I guess it was just too little girl. As I type this, you are on your way home to me. Sorry baby! I'm sure they still love you!

25th
We had a very busy day today! Gammy and I took you and Max shopping for over four hours! You did amazing! I was really impressed with how well you both did. You got to almost everything on our extensive shopping list before you guys expressed your desire to be done. We picked up pizza for Gampy and brought it to him at work. Then we ate some with him and his employees. You both really love pizza! Then we shopped 4 other stores before we finished. Gammy got you some ADORABLE green with white polka dot pajamas. SO CUTE! We also got you some pretty great summer clothes and fabric to make your very FIRST Easter dress! You are going to look beautiful!
You have decided that you adore your Uncle Scott. You somehow managed to only take ONE nap today for a total of ONE hour. So you were a lot of cranky. But the second Uncle Scott talked to you, you immediately started giggling. Funny little thing!

22nd
You are starting to get very busy! You are rolling onto your stomach ALL the time now, especially during diaper changes, not something we're too thrilled about. You managed to take a toy away from Max today. Very proud of you for sticking up for yourself! We know it's not easy since Max is bigger and stronger and much more mobile than you are. Maybe this will inspire you to crawl sooner! You did have an interesting bath tonight. On a couple occasions you managed to go from a sitting position to flat on your stomach kicking and sputtering (I guess you must enjoy being on your stomach an inopportune times!). Each time I quickly scooped you up and sat you back upright. You're little hair was crazy from your spill and your long eyelashes were covered with water droplets, but you weren't upset at all! This was very strange for you!

20th
You had a slightly bad time tonight. Your brother got a hold of the baby monitor cord (we keep the monitor resting between yours and Max's crib) and managed to knock it onto your head. Poor baby. We'll move it ASAP! No one should have to sleep in fear like that! It's bad enough knowing your devious brother is only seperated from you by a few slats of wood!

19th
Congrats little girl! You are SEVEN months old today! You are getting so big so fast. You are becoming very skilled with your adorably chubby hands, you really like to feel people's faces like brail, and you are starting to pick up and grab onto things. This skill is coming in handy when attempting to defend yourself from your brother the thief... and maybe your puppy too. You are sitting like a champ and you just started opening your mouth W I D E for bites. Thank you! Thank you! for getting that crazy tongue under control. Makes life so much easier and mealtimes much much more enjoyable. You have also started giving kisses. They are by far the most adorable thing EVER! I'll be honest, at first we weren't positive whether your kisses were kisses, or you trying to eat our face. No offense, but you have been known to try to eat people. But it has been confirmed. You are most definitely giving kisses when you grab onto our face and smash your slobbery little mouth up against our cheek/chin/lips/neck/anything else you can get to, and we LOVE IT! You are such an incredibly sweet baby girl and we love you very very much.

17th
HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! Today you celebrated your very first St. Patrick's Day, and we celebrated it right! Of course you were decked out in green all day, then to finish off a day of festivities we dyed your formula bright green! No worries, the color didn't throw you off for a second. You just happened to have green tinged spit up :)
You are obviously still new to this sitting thing, and you haven't quite figured out that it's not a good idea to throw your self backwards while sitting when you get angry. You did this tonight and of course it didn't feel very good so you began crying. Daddy sat you back up and was consoling you and patting you on your back. Apparently this wasn't as effective a techinique as Tucker thought necessary. He got up from laying next to me and snorted as if to say, "fine! If I have to do everything around here!" and went to you and kissed your sad little face. This worked like a charm. You adore your puppy. Good thing he's around to take care of things!

16th
You are my cute little cracker face. You have developed this ridiculous method of eating crackers. I have to give you credit, it definitely gets the job done, but you become a cracker face in the process. You have discovered that it is easiest if you place not only the ENTIRE cracker into your mouth, but also the hand that's holding it. When finished, the hand naturally smears all cracker goo all over your face. Thank goodness for nightly baths! I never manage to get it all!
One thing we really need to address is your crazy little tongue. I know you are very new to this eating thing, but please stop waving that thing around all the time! It makes feeding you nearly impossible and extremely frustrating!

15th
YOU SIT!! You have extremely poor posture (you bend almost in half) and you have a tendency to fall over sporadically, but you can do it! When you get tired you just lay down inbetween your chubby little legs and rest. You are one flexible baby!

14th
You woke up this morning with three finger sized bruises on your poor little cheek... I can't imagine how those got there. Oh wait, I've seen your brother tackle you by your cheeks on multiple occasions. Sorry baby! But you are starting to fight back, a little! Yay!

7th
We flew home today! We did have an interesting experience at the airport though... We had quite the diaper disaster. I unknowingly checked all the diapers except for ONE! I hadn't realized that the diaper bag was almost out. I had a huge dilemma since you were so wet you were leaking out onto Uncle Chandler, and Maxers smelled very poopy. I chose to change Max since I thought it would be cruel and a lot more offensive for him to fly all the way home in a dirty diaper. I thought it was my lucky day when I found that his diaper was clean! I promptly changed your soggy bum and all was well... until Max actually filled his diaper and then began leaking out. Luckily, I was able to track down a fellow mother with a baby about Max's age. All I had to say was "diaper emergency" and she handed me one. Thank goodness!!
This time you completely passed out on the flight home, until we began landing and you began to fuss. But we made it! And we couldn't be happier to be home with Daddy!

6th
We went to the beach today! As predicted, you didn't really care for it at all. You decided that if you were going to have to endure being outside you would be wrapped in a blanket and held in someone's arms. And you were perfectly content being held by Uncle Chandler's dad and given a guided tour of the beach. Silly girl.
Oh, you did like the food part. You love grapes :)

5th
Your Aunty Noelle got married today! You were in attendance, just right outside of the temple being loved on by everyone. Gammy brought your cute polka dot dress so we were instructed to bring you in a onesie and your tights... which we did. You, however, looked like an adorable chunky ballerina. And then when we did get your pretty dress on, we found that your headband had been left in the car! So in all the family pictures you are headbandless. How are people even going to recognize you?!? Don't worry though. You looked beautiful Zo.
During the reception you spit up ALL over one of the bridesmaid's dress, and on Gammy. Nice. But you did pay your Chandler for a dance during the money dance. You seemed to very much enjoy that :)

4th
You flew on your very first airplane today! And with your Uncle Chandler! What a lucky little girl! You did really well, an even scored an extra bottle since our flight was delayed and you needed to be drinking while we took off... and you started yelling and we had to do something to make you quiet so the whole plane didn't hate us. So you ate 12 ounces of formula within ONE hour. Yes, you were extremely pleased. You weren't super sure about the whole flying thing, but you koalaed Uncle Chandler and tolerated it pretty well.

3rd
We bought you the MOST adorable jean skirt and some very cute capris for our trip to California! You are going to be one stylish baby girl... as always :)

2nd
You have officially entered the world of solids. You are eating like the eating champ we've always known you were :)

March 2011

27th *written by Dad
Zoey, today you did me wrong. We will begin at the beginning. We were sitting in sunday school enjoying a wonderful lesson when all of a sudden during a quiet reflecting moment in the lesson you decided to pass an enormous amount of gas, forcefully. This, in turn, brought looks from around the room. I pointed at you. Moments later, a smell came across my nose that rather disgusted me. So I gathered your things and we went to the bathroom. As I began the tumultuous task of changing your diaper, I immediately realized the grave danger ahead me. You had pooped through all three layers of your clothing, and on your blanket. During the process of cleaning up this mess, something terrible happened. Not only was there poop, there was now puke on the changing table, and the puke wasn't yours. During this time, there were multiple young boys who came into the bathroom only to run back out, warning their friends not to go inside because of the smell. This might better explain the before mentioned puke. I quickly regained my composure and finished the task at hand. As I reached into the diaper bag to grab a change of clothes, they could not be found. I frantically searched in despair, but came up empty handed. I had no choice but to carry you, wearing only your diaper, back to your carseat that I had left in the coat closet. As I walked out of the bathroom, I realized that classes had just gotten over and the hallway was packed, forcing me to walk down the hall with a half naked baby. We were ultimately forced to go home and get a change of clothing. Zoey, Sundays are meant for spirituality, but this Sunday was, for me, far from spiritual.

26th
Gammy and Gampy came to see us today! You adore them. Today you were especially infatuated with your Gampy. You would just stare and him until he looked your way. When eye contact was made you would immediately break out your most winning smile and coo. Pretty sure you melted his heart a few times..
You also discovered a food (other than bread) that you LOVE! Mangos and apples with rice cereal. Yum!
We had pizza tonight and you have most definitely recognize pizza crust. You were scolding Gammy and reaching for her pizza. Funny little girl.

25th
We had dinner with your Kayla tonight! You were also able to meet your Devin for the very first time! He thought you were absolutely adorable. We had a great time and a very delicious meal. You especially loved the french bread... I'm beginning to notice a trend here. You love any and all bread. :)

24th
I was VERY brave today Zo Zo! You, Max and I went on an adventure, to a store! Just the three of us. For the first time. We did great! Max had a fantastic time sitting in the front of the cart like a big boy, but you kind of just pouted in your carseat in the back. It's possible that you were either mad about not being able to sit up front... or maybe you were just really tired. It could've been either one. :) But the important part is that we have a newfound FREEDOM we didn't previously have!

22nd
We've got you figured out Zo! This morning you were laying in bed next to me and you started to fuss. Fortunately, the camera just happened to be right next to us so I picked it up and held it in front of you. You quieted right down. You started to cry again, the same thing happened. This was repeated multiple times... now you have Dad thinking of some contraption he can build so that you have a camera permanently in front of you :)
Your Aunty Noelle had both you and Tucker on her lap today, but she had to kick both of you off because you two were fighting! Apparently you have learned the art of tormenting the puppy by pulling his fur... something he does not take lightly! The good news, however, is that you are figuring out those little hands! Way to go Zo!

21st
You tried green beans today! Your initial reaction to this green goop was to keep your mouth wide open and stare at me in disgust. Eventually you swallowed and then you proceeded to eat a fair amount of the veggie. Master this stuff and we'll be on to better things! Like PEAS!! Yay!
You are a splasher. When you're in the bath we have to stay back or else we get wet! Those chubby little legs can really get going!
You are wearing BLUE pajamas. Apparently Dad couldn't find any of yours that still fit (since you're growing at an incredibly alarming rate) so you are sporting a pair of Max's. Lucky girl. :)

19th
HAPPY HALF BIRTHDAY! I cannot believe that you are now 6 months old! This is getting a little ridiculous! You are getting so big and learning so many new things now. You have recently discovered that your little hands can get into mischief and are constantly grabbing at things. This is a sudden development, so not everyone is as aware as they should be. You have already knocked over a glass and shattered it. Max hasn't even accomplished that yet! You are babbling and singing constantly now. You have SO MUCH to say ALL the time! You are also really getting into the spitting thing. You can thank Max for teaching you that disgusting habit. You are still mostly all smiles, you love animals, you are loving your toys and enjoy kicking your legs all the time now. It is so fun to watch you grow Zo Zo Bean and your dad and I couldn't be happier! We have the most beautiful little girl ever born :)
You also got to try pizza crust today! You didn't even hesitate. Eating is second nature to you! Nothing to learn. You very very much enjoyed it!

17th
You had your 6 month check up today. You did fantastic! You are growing like a weed and are perfectly healthy. You are now 26.5 inches long putting you in the 90th percentile! Long little girl! And you weigh 17 pounds 6 ounces in the 80th percentile. The doctor says that you are very strong and very mild mannered. You just quietly laid on the exam table while he checked you. The nurses kept telling me how pretty you are and they loved your headband and pink little toenails. You were sufficiently oohed and awed over :) I made you a bottle right before you got your shots and gave to it you in an attempt to distract you from the needles. You just laid on the table and held your bottle, looking back and forth from nurse to nurse wondering what was going on. When they stuck you with then needles your little eyes started darting back and forth in disbelief! They had been so nice to you up until this point! You started to yell, but I just put your bottle back in your mouth and soothed you and you instantly went back to drinking. You still had your scuzz look intact, but you let them off easy this time. As we were leaving the doctor commented that he hadn't heard any crying from you and he was suspicious whether or not they had actually given you your shots! You're a tough little girl.
You love Journey. You have impeccable taste in music Zoey.

16th
Today I sat you next to me in your Bumbo while I played the piano. You seemed to feel that this meant I was accompanying you and you proceeded to sing and sing and sing. You are fairly adorable.
15th
You made today a very tough day baby girl! I really hope you are teething, and I really hope they break through very soon because you were EXTREMELY cranky today! I don't know how much longer we can handle a cranky Zo Zo Bean! WE WANT OUR HAPPY BABY BACK!
You are a very funny little girl though. We've decided that the soonest we will feed you and your brother in the morning is 7:00 AM. It didn't take you long at all to figure this out, you now consistently wake up at 7:01 AM every morning :)

14th
Happy Valentine's Day Zo! You are so loved!
You must know how much I love it when you fall asleep in random places, because you did it again! You passed out in your johnny jumper while I was feeding Max his lunch. Completely limp baby. I picked you up and you fussed a little bit but fell right back to sleep on my shoulder. When I laid you in your crib you didn't even seem to notice. You are such a funny little girl. Thank you for that sweet Valentine's Day present. You are so thoughtful. :)

12th
You LOVE Tucker! You have decided that he is quite possibly the coolest thing alive and you're always watching him and smiling. He was doing his pug run and you started giggling. He very much loves you too. You are very nice to him and don't pull his fur.

10th
You have a new cry. You just sputter and blow bubbles. Very nice Zo Zo.

8th
I found out tonight during your bath that you're neck is very ticklish. I was using a washrag to clean under your adorable double chin and you started giggling. You are so sweet Zoey.
Your two favorite words right now are "gross" and "bassoon." They make you laugh over and over again. Love you Zo Zo.

7th
You had rice cereal!! Yay! You are just getting so big baby girl! We bought you the cutest possible highchair, which you seem to love as much as I do, and you look absolutely adorable in it. At first you weren't sure what to think about the cereal, but you seemed to understand immediately that you were supposed to open your mouth when we put the spoon in front of it. That was really nice and made things much easier. When you didn't automatically open your mouth, all we had to do was smile at you and you would open your mouth really big to smile back, which worked just as well as you intentionally opening it. To teach you to swallow instead of pushing it all out, I would again just smile at you after each spoonful and you would immediately swallow so you could return my smile. You did fantastic Zo Zo. Just as we had expected :)

6th
We drove home from Utah today and you were quite possibly the WORST baby the entire drive! You screamed and screamed and refused to hold your bottle and screamed even more when you dropped it. Nothing we did made you happy. It was the longest drive of our lives. Thanks a lot Zo Zo!

5th
We went to Utah today! You met your Grandma Rice for the very first time. She adores you little girl. We also visited with your Aunt Christa and little Jason. We had a great time. Then we went to see your Sammi! You were such an angel baby that everyone there just fell in love with you. You snuggled with everyone. You got a beautiful Raggedy Ann doll. You are so spoiled!

3rd
You were a very happy baby today. Maybe because you got to spend a lot of time with Daddy. He loves you very much. He even wrote a song just for you! Here are the lyrics:

Zoey Fazoli
You're my Italian breadstick
Zoey Fazoli
You're my Italian breadstick
I will dip you in marinara
I will eat you with alfredo
Zoey Fazoli
You're my Italian breadstick

Add him eating you periodically throughout the entire song and that's it. It's you're very special song. You seem to really enjoy hearing him sing it to you.

2nd
We took you to the BYU-I indoor track today for a walk. Uncle Chandler accidently brought the single stroller instead of the double, but no worries. We just reclined the seat all the way and double stacked you and Max :) You sang to everyone as I pushed you around the track. When we pulled you out, because you insisted on being carried the last few laps, you literally stopped traffic! People had to go around the the group of people who were immediately drawn to you and your adorable cheeks.
You babbled! You were fussing and all of a sudden your cry changed to a very sad and pathetic "da da da." It was very cute.
You actually let me read you a bedtime story tonight. You have never liked being read to, so this is kind of a big deal. You apparently like the book There's a Wocket in my Pocket.

1st
Today you wore the most BEAUTIFUL tutu dress. You looked absolutely stunning in it. You thought it was quite beautiful too and loved playing with and eating the tutu part. You are seriously one gorgeous baby girl! What is Daddy going to do when you lose all your baby rolls??!
You played in your johnny jumper for 2 hours today! You were so content in it and seemed to really enjoy spinning yourself around. What an angel baby. I LOVE YOU!

February 2011

31st

You are such a daredevil Zo Zo! You and Max were left with Dad today while I ran to the store. While I was gone you and your dad apparently found a fun new game. He swings you all over the place and throws you in the air. You find this absolutely delightful! I find it mildly terrifying. This newfound love added to your remarkable flexibility makes me think that gymnastics might be in your future!

30th

You can kind of sit by yourself... kind of. You have recently started rocking back and forth when you're sitting in people's laps, like you're in a rocking chair. You do it a lot. It's very quirky and very adorable :)

28th

You started shaking your head today. I am so glad you have already learned to tell me "no."

27th

You jumped in the Johnny jumper for the first time today! You have always loved it, but you didn't really get the point. You would normally just hang there while you chewed on it. But not today! You JUMPED! You were pretty proud of yourself, as was I. Nice work baby. You are getting so big!

26th

The power went out tonight for about an hour. You, of course, took this opportunity to have a dirty diaper... which I changed by candlelight. Not a very romantic situation Zo. You were however very intrigued by the candles. You sat in your Bumbo and stared and them until the power came back on. Very cute Zo Zo.

24th

You're Kayla came to see you today. It was fun to see her again. She loves you a lot.

You have the BEST hair for mohawks. Your Uncle Chandler really enjoys giving you one after your baths. Apparently baby lotion is the new styling gel. It seems like they get better and better every night. Tonight's seemed especially nice. Uncle Chandler says you have a great "mohawk head." Good job growing such beautiful and sculptable hair :)

23rd

Your brother taught you how to spit. You are getting to be very good at it. Too good. I am so glad you learned that awesome trick. How did you know we desperately needed another spitter in the house?

I will admit though, it's kind of cute...

22nd

I woke up to your happy noises on the baby monitor today. That is the way to start the day :)

19th

Congrats baby! You are officially FIVE months old today! Yay! You are getting so big!

You are our little love bug. Everyone who meets you says that you are just the sweetest little baby they have ever met. We can't help but love you! You love to sing and dance, a lot. You have a fascination with tongues, especially your own. You have recently started sticking it out the corner of your mouth. Very cute. You can also roll your tongue - something I am slightly jealous of. You're extremely smart and love to imitate people. It doesn't take much to make you smile, just smiling at you will usually do the trick. You are sometimes very self conscious when the camera is out. You are definitely aware of it and will either give us one of your cheesy smiles or stare blankly at it. You have the best "I'm annoyed" look I have ever seen. Your cheeks get in your way quite often and your eyes disappear when you smile really big (just like your dad). We pretty much think you're amazing Zo Zo! Thanks for being our little girl!

17th

We had breakfast at Great Grandma Houdek's today. We put you in the spare room to take and nap. Unfortunately we lost track of your cousins David and William and found them on top of you smothering you loves and kisses. You just laid there sucking on your paci looking around with shifty eyes.

Gammy was playing with you today and every time she would scream and shake her head you would copy her exactly. It was so cute.

16th

We drove to Boise today with Gammy and Gampy. You did so great! You sang, ate and watched Baby Einstien the whole way. You did however have a very stinky diaper and stunk out the entire car... but we forgive you :)

When we got to Uncle Eric's house David insisted on you being put in Kenna's toy baby stroller. You fit, but it was a little tight! It was adorable.

15th

You always fall asleep eating your last bottle of the day... but no worries. This doesn't stop you from finishing it!

14th

Today you were throwing a fit and screaming at your dad. He told you to stop screaming. That no one wants to be by you when you're screaming so loud. A minute later your loyal Morkie was laying right beside you. That's puppy love.

You just got fish hooked by your brother. You were not pleased.

13th

You cuddled with me while we watched a movie today. It was very sweet. Later you talked and talked so loudly that you dad couldn't hear the TV and we had to move you to the other room with your Aunty Noelle. You just have so much to say ALL of the time!

11th

You went on a hot date with your Aunty Noelle and Uncle Chandler tonight. They took you with them to Daves Famous BBQ for Chandler's birthday dinner. You had a great time and they said you sang to the entire restaurant. What a lucky little girl you are.

10th

The cutest thing happened today. A little girl from our ward brought us cookies with a letter asking us to let her and her sister babysit you and Max. You are very popular Zo Zo! It seems like everyone wants to get their hands on you!

9th

Today was your blessing day! This is one exciting weekend for you baby! Your Kayla was even there today! She thought you looked so beautiful in your dress. Your dad gave you the most beautiful blessing. You were so quiet the entire time, which was fantastic and very much appreciated. In fact, you received your blessing first because Max was being so difficult! When Dad took Max up to the front he started screaming and yelling. So Dad asked the Bishop if he could trade him for you. The congregation thought it was pretty funny, but you didn't disappoint. It was a good call. You were an angel. We love you Zoey!

8th

Happy FOREVER Day! Today we became an eternal family. We were sealed for time and all eternity in the Rexburg Temple. It was an amazing day. You looked absolutely stunning in the beautiful white dress your Gammy made you. It looked a lot like my wedding dress. It was perfect. The moment we stepped into the temple you both became very quiet and reverent. You and your brother were ANGELS during the sealing. You were both fascinated by the beautiful chandelier and just stared at it the entire time. It was a beautiful chandelier. We love you so much little girl and are just thrilled to have you as a part of our family. We wouldn't be complete without you.

There were so many people who love you and your brother who came to share our special day with us. Your Sammi and her family all came from Utah. They brought you and Max the cutest baby rattles. Gammy, Gampy, Grandma, Grandpa, Great Grandma and Grandpa Houdek, Uncle Eric, Aunt Terrilynn, Kenna, David and Zuleka all came to see you. And of course your Aunty Noelle and Uncle Chandler were here too. That's a lot of love baby!

We celebrated with pizza and homemade rootbeer. Next year you can celebrate with us!

7th

You are officially sleeping in your sleep sack! Goodbye burrito!

I went into your nursery to check on you and Maxers before I went to bed and you were both sleeping in the cutest positions. You were sprawled out spread eagle. It was pretty funny Zo. When you sleep you are dead to the world. Max was curled around his little giraffe. It's fun to see how different you both are even in sleep!

6th

Today I fell in love with you just a little bit more.

First off, you started the day by cuddling in bed with me. You woke up right as Dad was leaving for class so he brought you to me. You were all smiley and cuddly, which is very unusual. You normally do not cuddle with me. Especially when I'm tired and want you to.

Then you did the absolute CUTEST thing possible. You and Max were watching Baby Einstein in your exersaucers (okay... you pretty much watched Max watch Baby Einstein). After awhile Max got fussy and needed to take a nap. I put him in his crib and went back to cleaning. It was then that I realized that you should have been getting cranky because you had been awake way longer than Max had been. I found you passed out in your exersaucer with your head against your favorite toy, the disco ball. Adorable. There's nothing else to say.

5th

I caught you licking your hoodie today. I'm hoping it tasted good.

Also, you look ridiculously cute it big flowered headbands... and you are ridiculously good at using them to turn yourself into a flower face :)

4th

You are becoming quite the snuggler. You have really taken to cuddling between Aunty Noelle and Uncle Chandler while watching TV. It is pretty adorable... and even though they are quite fond of each other they don't seem to mind you being a third wheel :)

You have also become an extreme drooler! I cannot believe the amount of saliva you produce! It is ridiculous. The front of your shirt is always soaking wet. And if you can believe it, when you get upset, you drool even more! Hopefully you have some little teeth lurking in that saliva producing mouth of yours!! That would make this all worthwhile.

3rd

Your Aunty Noelle and Uncle Chandler watched you and Max tonight. You, apparently, saw your chance and convinced them you NEEDED and extra 3 oz of formula before you went to bed. Needless to say you had quite the tummy ache. Poor little girl, but you are quite conniving.

2nd

Sometimes you are not very nice to your dad. He spent all of church battling with you. Which is funny because whenever anyone else takes you you are a perfect angel. It's very interesting. You have always had this strange little power struggles with him... can't wait to see what happens when you're a teenager since you're already so good at pushing Dad's buttons as an infant!

1st

Happy New Years Zoey! You are such a sweet little girl. You are starting to giggle at pretty much everything now and you have an adorable giggle. Your hair is getting so long and thick. You have very pretty hair baby. Now if we can only get your excessively runny nose under control!!

January 2011

30th

You are getting mobile little girl! I left you on your back and when I came back you had scooted in a circle and were facing the opposite direction! Way to go Zoey! You'll be crawling before we know it!

29th

The bad news is you're still sick. The worse news is that you got your brother sick. Thanks Zo Zo! But the good news is that you are doing much better. This morning we spent some time in our sauna... ok it was really just our bathroom with the steam from the shower. You and Max love it. You even sang. Probably because our sauna was complete with an exersaucer and bumbo :) You also talked a lot today. You're a funny little girl. And strangely you didn't cry at all when I put you to bed... in fact you smiled, and of coursed started talking :)

28th

You woke up very sick this morning at 1:00 AM. Poor baby. This is the first time you have been sick and you did not like it! You had an extremely stuffy nose which made it very hard to breath. I found out quickly that loves do nothing for you when you're not feeling good. Luckily medicine and a now sucker do. By tonight you seemed to be feeling much better. Hopefully it stays that way. But even sick, you still throw the biggest tantrums when we put you to bed!

PS Please don't get your brother sick. He handles it even worse than you do!

The good news is that your goobery eye seems to have cleared up today! Maybe all your mucus was busy being in your nose :)

25th

Merry Christmas baby! Today was your very first Christmas! You must be very loved! You were spoiled with gifts! You and your brother got to many presents it was ridiculous! You very much liked the stuffed Winnie the Pooh you got from your great Grandma Houdek. You are also going to love the portable DVD players Grandma and Grandpa got you and Max for the car. And you loved hanging in the johnny jumper you got from Gammy and Gampy. It was a very good day.

24th

We went and saw your Kayla today. She was very happy to see you and made you the softest blanket ever! You are one very loved little girl!

22nd

I held up the camera and you gave me your biggest smile. You definitely know you are beautiful :)

You currently love your tongue, the bumbo and silly sounds and funny faces. Those are your favorite things right now. Along with food of course :)

21st

You held your own bottle and intentionally fed yourself! Way to go! Your brother hasn't even figured that out yet!

19th

Happy 4 months old Zo Zo Bean! You are getting so big and more beautiful every day. Your cute little personality is starting to come out even more and we love you! Thank you for being our sweet little girl! You are such a funny little baby. You smile at everything! You are starting to giggle, but they are pretty scarce. Tucker got your very first giggle though, I guess you really like his kisses! You love to babble and sing. You are starting to kick and dance (especially in the bath tub). You still HATE going to sleep but you are becoming much more reasonable about it. We love you Zo Zo!

18th

You met Santa today! And you loved him. By the time we were able to get in line to meet him, you were very tired and completely lost it. Nothing but a bottle calmed you down. You finally accepted your paci when it was out turn. Daddy did not want the a paci in the picture, so we set you on Santa's lap and I asked you it I could take your paci out. As I pulled it out you gave me a huge smile!! I absolutely love your smiles. I'm pretty sure that they are the cutest ever. You don't so much smile, you just open your mouth as big as you possibly can. We know it's a smile because we can see it in your eyes :)

16th

You got your 4 month shots today. I know it was a few days early, but we thought you were up to it. :) You did extremely well baby girl! You got very upset right before the shot because you were getting really tired... or you knew what was coming maybe. You are very smart. Unfortunately, there was only one nurse available to give you your shots so she had to poke you twice instead of two at the same time. You yelled for a second after the first shot and the apparently forgot or forgave because you just sucked on your paci. The second time you did not forget so easily... but it was nothing your bottle couldn't fix! After we buckled you into your car seat you fell right to sleep. Hopefully when you wake up you'll just think it was all a bad dream :)

14th

Today we had you sitting on the table in your bumbo with us while your Aunty Noelle and I were sewing. Every time we used the sewing machine you would get this startled look on your face and start looking around for the the source of the terrifying noise. It was very cute. And now we know that sewing machines terrify you :)

12th

Your Kayla came to see you today. She was amazed at how big you've gotten and at all the noises you make now. She loves you so much Zoey!

10th

You semi-mastered rolling over today. Yay! I have to say Zoey, you have a very interesting technique. Instead of using your arm or body to roll over, you've found that throwing your head works the best :) I guess using your head really works ha ha

5th

You are just so cute it's pretty much impossible to keep you to ourselves during church! Everyone wants to steal you away.

I've decided you need more tummy time baby and you need to have a better attitude :) You need to focus on building muscles instead of burrowing your face into the blanket and screaming at me. Not only is it unproductive, but it makes your little nose turn bright red! :)

By the way, you think Max is pretty great. You've started staring at him and giving him great big smiles.

*written by Dad

So today while I was burping you, you belched so loud that you woke up the Morkie. He not only woke ip but he jumped up as if he was in great danger. You need to be more lady like I always say. :)

December 2010

30th

We left you and Max with our friend Valerie while we went to the Forgotten Carols tonight. Being the good baby you are, you put yourself to "bed" at 8:30 PM. Our plan was to take you straight from your car seat and put you to bed. You apparently had different plans. When Dad pulled you out he found that you had leaked through your diaper and everything you wearing was completely soaked. You should know that this was the second time you had assaulted your new butterfly dress... Valerie had already washed and dried it earlier tonight. Anyway, Dad stripped you down, changed your soaked and dirty diaper AND put you into your pajamas without you even opening your eyes. It wasn't until he was wrapping you into your blanket that you woke up just enough to be confused. Luckily you went right back to sleep when he laid you in your crib. It was pretty amazing that you were able to sleep through all of that! You, little girl, are incredible!

29th

I cut your fingernails today and you were furious with me. I have never seen you so angry! You held a grudge and it took a long nap before you forgot and forgave me :)

Today your dad told you that "the cheeks on your face are bigger than the ones on your bum." You have a funny Daddy.

26th

You absolutely love your Gammy. You just want her to hold you all day. You are also fascinated with fans. They are even more exciting when we turn them on :)

25th

Happy Thanksgiving Zoey! Today is not only your first Thanksgiving but it's also my birthday! I am so thankful that I got to spend my birthday with my beautiful family. You were a sweet baby today so thank you for that gift. You also LOVED your bath again. You danced and danced until the water got cold. There must be something about Gammy's tub that you love! You're a very cute little girl.

23rd

Happy I'm a Perrenoud Day!! You and Max officially became Perrenouds today at 10:30 AM at the Madison County court house. Your Dad and I couldn't be happier. It was a very cool experience. It was definitely meant to be since the court house was closed due to a winter storm watch right after our case. We're glad we didn't have to postpone it.The judge was very surprised when he found out that we had 2 babies and not just one. In fact, he told us that in the 27 years that he has been a judge he has never seen anything like this. So in case you didn't already know... we're a pretty special family. He made sure your dad and I knew how lucky we are. And you Zo Zo were officially our first child... by 30 seconds! Lucky girl.

We love you so much little girl and we are so glad that you are a Perrenoud!

21st

Today you rolled from your stomach onto your back! I know you used to do this all the time, but it has been quite awhile since you've done it. So this time we think it's for real! So congrats baby! You can roll over! Maybe some day soon you'll realize this and spend less time wallowing in self pity/despair when you're on your tummy. :)

19th

Congrats baby girl! You are now 3 months old! Time seems to just be flying! You are getting so big, but also kind of cranky too. We would love for our happy little Zo Zo Bean to come back! You have the funniest little body now. Teeny tiny legs and arms, the cutest little bum and very delicate hands/feet, eyes, nose and mouth. And the the roundest belly and ginormous apple shaped cheeks! It's pretty cute.

You absolutely loved your bath tonight. I have never seen you act like this. That says a lot because I see an awful lot of you :) You were so happy in your bath you were dancing like a crazy person! Dancing so crazily that you managed to scratch yourself on your chest with your fingernails and kicked so hard you unplugged the tub stopper. It was so cute everyone had to come see you.

16th

You are way stronger than you let on little girl. We put you in the bumbo the other day and you did great! Where are your neck muscles when we're holding you?? And then Aunty Noelle set you against the exersaucer and you STOOD UP holding onto it! We were all very surprised when Max recently did this, so we were completely shocked when you did it! Especially since you have successfully convinced everyone that you are made of Jello! You are a funny little girl Zo Zo.

14th

You and Max slept ALL night long! THANK YOU! You didn't even get up until 8 AM!

13th

Last night you, Max and Tucker stayed with our friend Valerie. She has 2 dogs and a cat, so Tucker was in heaven. She also has two little girls who adore babies so you guys were pretty happy too. The cutest thing was how protective Tucker was of you guys. He followed you both around all night and laid by you to ensure you were alright.

11th

You got trampled by a Morkie today. Nothing was hurt except your feelings. You were fairly livid with him for awhile.

10th

Today you were crying while we made your bottle. Tucker brought you his bone to make you feel better. You should know he LOVES his bone. It didn't help but it was very sweet.

6th

You met Max's Sammi today. Her and her mom came to spend the weekend with us. They loved you so much and spoiled you with gifts and loves. You are such a sweet baby. How could they not love you!?!?

2nd

Your Uncle Chandler got you a beautiful fuzzy blanket today. He bought the fabric and specifically asked for it to be "standard crib size." He even sewed the edges for you. He really adores you Zo Zo Bean :)

You're the angel; don't tell your brother. -Daddy

29th

You fell asleep so fast tonight! Is this a fluke or are you becoming a better sleeper? Only time will tell I guess :)

28th

You are getting so pretty Zo Zo! You were such a great baby today. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

25th *written by Aunty Noelle

Your Mom and Dad left you and Max alone with me (Aunt Noelle) and you were crying so I laid you down next to Max, who was very happy. Max rolled onto his side to face you and talk to you. You immediately stopped crying and smiled. You love your big brother.

22nd *written by Aunty Noelle

We forgot to turn on a light when you took your nap, the sun went down and you woke up scared because it was dark. Sorry baby!

21st

Zoey, you are absolutely HATE going to sleep and you fight it with everything you have. And I must say - you are impressively stubborn. Either you truly believe that you are dying or you are one incredible little actress!

19th

You turn 2 months old today! Congrats baby!!

You got your shots today, which you hated, and we got your ears pierced!! Yay! You definitely didn't like it but you were a champ and it only took 10 seconds of crying and you were over it. We got you tiny diamond studs. You look absolutely gorgeous!

Sorry you had such a tough day baby girl!

16th

Went swimming today for the first time! You loved it and cooed the whole time :)

15th

We tricked you into dieting by lowering you to 4 oz instead of 5 oz. You are suspicious but seem to be content. :)

12th

You fell asleep in your home gym (your play mat) spread eagle today :)
